Floral Design

 

We approach floral design a bit differently than most.  We believe for us to truly understand what you want we have to involve you in the design process.

Your involvement makes sure we can create truly bespoke florals that capture your overall vision and set the backdrop for your wedding or event. 

 

We care a great deal about the smallest details... buttonholes accents, the perfect hand dyed silk ribbon for the bouquets, colors of the other

elements of your styling and how they they will marry with the florals.   We get one chance to get it perfect on your day and this is how we make sure we do.

We recognize that every wedding and event is different, which is why we offer three design packages to choose from. 

They are 'Bespoke', 'Seasonal' and 'Intimate'.

Bespoke

 

Our 'Bespoke' service allows us to work with you using our collaborative design process.  We will work directly with you or your wedding/event planner to make sure all aspects of the design compliment the aesthetic and vision you have for your big day.

The 'Bespoke' service allows for phone consultations as well as design and style boards as needed, a site visit to your ceremony and reception venue*, a visit to our studio and walled garden to discuss all things floral and look through our collection of vessels, accents and hand dyed ribbon collection.

We also offer an optional breakdown service where we will remove all unwanted florals on the day after the wedding/event and disassemble and remove all installations.  Whenever possible we will take the florals to a local hospice or elderly care facility so they can be enjoyed by those who will appreciate your kindness.  The cost of this breakdown service ranges between £250.00 to £600.00 depending on the scope of work required.

 

The Design Process

  1. We schedule a consultation call to introduce ourselves and gather as much information as we can in terms of the florals, arrangements, and installations for you wedding.  Don't worry if you don't know everything you want!  We can modify your requirements at any time during the design process...right up to within a few weeks of your wedding.  If you have any inspiration images of florals, colors, or the venue and can send them to us after the call it would really help us out!
     

  2. Based on our conversation we will put together a preliminary quote for you to look at.  The quote will list out all of your floral requirements and have basic description of each piece/arrangement.  The quote will also detail the quantities and costs so it's easy for you to make any changes you like and get it back to us.  If you do have any changes to the quote in terms of quantities, actual arrangements, etc. we will modify the quote and resend it to you.
     

  3. If you want to move forward and book us as your floral designer we take a deposit via bank transfer to reserve the date (details in quote).  Once the deposit is received we will confirm the booking and email you a receipt for your deposit.
     

  4. We will schedule an initial design call with you and Laura or if you prefer we can arrange to have you visit our design studio & garden located on The Great Fulford Estate just outside of Exeter.  During this call/visit Laura will discuss color, texture, and shape with you to start to get an idea of the things you love and the things you don't (equally important!). 
     

  5. Based on what you discussed on your initial design call as well as any inspirational images you may have sent us, we will put together a set of style/color/design boards full of images for you to look at.
     

  6. Once you've had a chance to review the style/color/design boards we will schedule another call for you and Laura to discuss the the boards.  Laura will then take the content of your conversation and if necessary create new refined style/color/design boards.  We will repeat this process until Laura is completely sure she understands your vision and can design and create florals that are truly bespoke for you.
     

  7. Approximately  6 to 8 weeks from your wedding date Laura will get back in touch to finalise everything design and discuss logistics and timings for the big day.

Investment

Our bespoke service starts with a spend of £1500. Whilst we appreciate this is a lot higher than some florists, we hope you’ll understand why.

Typically, this will cover bridal party flowers, some church/venue decor and table centers.   Keeping in mind everything is bespoke,

here is an idea of what key items can cost:

  • Bridal Bouquet: £150 - £200

  • Bridesmaids Bouquets: £65 - £125

  • Floral Arch: £500 upwards

  • Focal Urn Arrangements: £250 - £400

  • Table Center Arrangements: £65 - £225

Our minimum spend includes a dedicated person/team on site during your wedding or event to assist with all things floral...

from moving arrangements to pinning on buttonholes!

* Ceremony and reception venues must be within 120 miles of our studio (EX6 7AJ).  Venues any further will require an additional charge.

Seasonal

Our 'Seasonal' service focuses on smaller weddings and events utilizing the seasonality of our garden and other local growers.  You will be able to choose your colour palette from  what is available to work with at the time of your wedding.  Laura will spend time with you to understand what you love so she can create truly beautiful florals for your big day.

  7. Approximately 6 to 8 weeks from your weddingt date we will have a final design call/meeting as well as go over logistics for the day.

Investment

The 'Seasonal' package starts at a minimum spend of £750.00 for weekday weddings and £1000.00 for weekend weddings. 

Intimate

 

The Intimate package is for couples who are eloping or simply want bridal party flowers.

We will provide you with a bespoke bridal bouquet finished with hand dyed silk ribbon (if you want!), a buttonhole finished with matching hand dyed silk ribbon and a small arrangement in a footed vessel that can be used on the registry table and then be moved to dress a celebratory meal table.  We will base the florals on the colours of your choice and the seasonality of what is growing in our garden at the time of your wedding.  Items can be added at an additional cost. 

 

The intimate package also includes delivery during the week within a 20 mile radius of our studio (EX6 &AJ).

Weekend delivery can be arranged at an additional cost.
